Default This sucks...

I had two dogs get loose (broke through the fence) over a week ago, my basset hound and german shepherd... We found the hound the next day, the pound picked him up. We've been looking for the shepherd a LOT, placing ads and everything. Well, I just got a call about 30 minutes ago from a lady who tried to get him on the road and he ended up getting hit... I've always been a big dog person, just ask my wife and mom. They rank right up there with the real kids Just sucks.... I drove that part of the road 100 times since he's been gone.

I'll miss you Joey!! 2004-2011.

So sorry for your loss, Gary. I"m a dog person, too. My Brittany is 16 and doesn't hear anymore, so I'm afraid she'll get hit by a car backing out the driveway or on the road. I'll keep a good thought for you and Joey.

Sorry Gary. Yah that sucks for sure. I've been in your shoes under different circumstances, and it's a great lose.
I've got a 11 year old lab Gunner and his 4 year old son Ruger, and I can see the old boy is slowing down more each week, and I've been telling the wife this is going to be a rough one when that day rolls around to say goodbye to him. So for now all we can do is enjoy each day we have with those silly dogs.
So good luck to you Gary and remember the fun times you had.

Sorry to hear that bud, they become part of the family. You never realize how close you are till there gone. Take care and I hope you and your family fell better soon.

I'm so sorry, Gary. We're dog people too. My little buddy, Jake is 9 years old. I'd really miss him if something happened.

I understand your loss. I have two German Shepherds and a miniature Dachshund. I have had a German Shepherd as a pet since I was probably 5 when my dad brought home a retired State Police German Shepherd named Duke. Nothing I can say will make things better, but hope you all eventually find that new family member that will help with the healing if you decide to get another.

Sorry about your loss Gary.
We had a Siberian Husky that broke loose and got hit on the road a few years ago. It's tough. Hang in there.

DWayne, you have a mini dachshund, too? Ours is 12 and man is she the Alpha dog! Keeps the neighborhood dogs at bay, too. I've never had the nerve to get her a full-length mirror. Ha! She thinks she a German Shepherd.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
