Default Found an 800 in hiding

Picked this up tonight, no model number on it as a lot of it has been repainted at one point but I was able to find the K181 Kohler tag. It's missing the side panels, the air cleaner and cover, and the ignition switch. It looks like the original starter has been replaced. It does have what I believe is the original muffler and surrounding sheet metal, electric PTO, deck sub frame (no deck), and a home made rear lift with spring assist.

Thanks guys, the tractor is definitely rough. The upper grill is cracked pretty badly, the PO put some sort of brace on it. The dash is also cracked pretty badly. It seems most of the tins around the motor are cracked around where the bolts go. This is my first wide frame tractor so it should be an interesting experience.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
