Mlohss, when you had your seat redone for the second time, were you able to leave it a one piece design or did you have to go with a two piece and a seam down the middle?

I did contact him, and he never returned my e-mails (twice). I was only 17 at the time, and wasn't very firm with my dealings with people yet... I have since learned when to stand my ground. He had stopped doing them for a while, and has just re-surfaced within the last few years. My local upholstery shop said that it had to be seamed, as the original material was "molded" to make the depression, and it would be extremely difficult to make a flat piece of material lay into that deep of a contour. I really didn't want the seam, but want something that lasts.

Thanks for your response. That is pretty much what I had learned in researching about recovering this seat. A one piece needs to be hot molded to fit the deep contour. I kept reading about a two piece repair but was excited when I found this person that does a one piece. It does make me pause and re-think this. Has anyone else out there had a 105 seat done in one piece or has used this person in the past? Thanks.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
