I don't think it moves that much.

Here's what i did to my 1200, free for me, easy to do and i dont think its ever going to wear out. 1/4" plate welded in the frame, laying flat in there it put that engine at the stock heigth. As far as vibration is concerned i dont really notice it pretty smooth actually. Used a solid 3 pin driver and used double flex disks at the rear. Have some pics of setting it up cant find one of it conmplete tho

After putting the engine brackets back into a 1450 last week, I believe the parts used in the assembly could allow as much as 1/4" or more variation in the final location of the crankshaft of the engine.

This caused the requirement of the ball bushing.

I think to eliminate the ball bushing, and maintain proper driveshaft alignment, the engine would have to be custom fit into a Quietline chassis on a per unit basis, every machine would be different.

This makes me feel a whole lot better about using the solid driver, and vibration concerns!

Have decided to buy the motor mounts off Ebay...after seeing this!

Thanks for the information, guys!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
