Not exactly sure of the model, no serial number tag anywhere. Has a 13 fin K341. I thought it might be a 169, but who knows. Couldn't prove it was a 169 so I made it into what I wanted; a wide frame, hydrostatic drive, hydraulic lift, round fender, Farmall headlights.
Fenders are from a Sears garden tractor. Steering wheel from some antique car (Ford?). I have a 149 that I cleaned up. When I park the two of them together the blue/white gets all the attention. |

since there has been opinions on both sides you'll need to be a bit more specific.

What's wrong with the color they rolled out of the factory with??
Custom builds are cool if done well, and sometimes custom paint really sets them off. As in the case of Adam's '66 series copy and Jerry's (dirtcowboy) '88 series copys. Brian (bocephus) is painting up one of his like an '88 series now. But a plain old tractor with a custom paint job just looks...... out of place. |

hard to find that if it is snowing, now if it could change color for the seasons, THAT would be cool.....

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
