So I next separated the lift bar from the lift plate and installed the lift plate by itself to the ratcheting lift bar but there is not enough room to then get the lift bar over the pivot on the lift plate. I have looked at the chassis manual but there is no mention/directions on installing one of these. So i'm asking again for any help or directions on how to complete this. Thanks again.

On my former 122, I had to remove the curved, slotted plate to get the lift bar and plate ( assembled ) into position.

I will admit the "universal adjective" was used quite a bit.

Send the lift bar through first, then install the lift plate.

Thanks for all the help. I appreciate the link to the manual. I searched but could not find one. I'll keep working at it! Thanks again for the replies.

Just wanted to say thanks to all that replied with suggestions on the sleeve hitch install. After much body twisting and all that goes with that I was able to get the lift bar and plate installed on the 100. For those that have not attempted this you DO have to unbolt the ratchet on the lift lever. With that unbolted and the spacer removed the rest falls into place. Thanks for all the patience shown by those that replied and for the link to the install manual. On to the next task.

Default Double thanks

I've been looking for the rear lift installation instructions for over a month and just found these. Exactly what I need to finish the 3 point hitch installation on my Cub 104. The more I use this site, the more I appreciate everybody on it. Thanks again.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
