Installing Sleeve Hitch
Can one install a sleeve hitch while keeping the mule drive for the mower deck hooked up? Or does the mule drive have to be removed? Thanks
|
Never tried it but I would think it possible , might be tougher work around some other things than the mule drive ! might also depend on narrow or wide frame ?

Working on a 100, sorry.

OK, what am I missing here. The Mule Drive is on the Front of the Tractor, while the Sleeve Hitch is on the Rear....???

I guess I'm asking that when I hook this lift up, it attaches to the same lift bar/lever that raises/lowers the mower right. I just wanted to make sure, having never done this before. Thanks

The deck lift/mule drive and rear sleeve hitch raise and lower together. If you are using an implement on the rear, you will probably have to pull the deck off, as they go up and down together but most of the time, you should be able to leave the mule drive on.

Thank you for the replies.

Maybe I'm confused :bigthink: If your saying your just putting the rear sleeve hitch on to your existing three point then it's no big deal it will just raise and lower with your deck like stated earlier. If your talking about installing the three point lift with the arm that runs up along the frame and attaches to your lift arm assembly then that should also be doable with the deck lift frame and mule drive in place. Might be tight getting everything bolted up with or without deck frame on. I took your initial post to mean you were installing the 3 point even though you said sleeve hitch ! sorry for any misunderstanding on my part ! good luck either way !:beerchug:

So I'm still trying to get this (new to me and this 100) sleeve hitch installed. I have installed the rear pivot to the frame under the seat. I have tried to attach the lift plate to the lift bar and pass it along the inside of the frame to where it attaches to the ratcheting lift bar but the lift plate will not pass the frame bolts.
So I next separated the lift bar from the lift plate and installed the lift plate by itself to the ratcheting lift bar but there is not enough room to then get the lift bar over the pivot on the lift plate. I have looked at the chassis manual but there is no mention/directions on installing one of these. So i'm asking again for any help or directions on how to complete this. Thanks again. |
It can be done, Ya just gotta keep fiddling with it, PITA I know!!
