Thanks Chris. Yes, many hours will go into this project, but it will be worth it for the many hours of work it will do. It will be used for pulling logs out of the woods to cut and split for fire wood, plowing snow and hauling materials.

Did some more work on the tractor. Even took it out in the sun for a little run. It runs great, but needs a little more tweaking and waiting for decals, then it's ready to work. This is the first time I have run a Hydro, so it was a little getting used to. This Cub is a whole lot different than my JD100. Enough talk, on to the PICS.

You'd be surprised with how much you can do with the HP out of a 125. Dad's 125 darn near did everything we asked it to, and we put it through a lot (still do.) Looks great.

Very nice job. I wish I had time to do my Grandfather's 105 all the way. Instead I'm doing it one piece at a time. One thing on my list is the seat. Did you buy and old/used seat or did you find someone to recover it? It looks great. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks guys for the nice comments. The seat came with the 105 that I got with the 125 and I did nothing with it except clean it. Next spring I'll rebuild the 105.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
