Jeff , Was that the one North of Boonville , up around Armstrong , Harrisburg , or somewhere around there ?? I called about it awhile back , but the owner was to high , and i think a few of the HTF pieces were already gone. I live about 10 miles south of I-70 , near Boonville. Darrell

May have been the same one, it was on Columbia CL, ad said Moberly, but it was actually near Roanoke. I think I saw it advertised as a running tractor for $500, I think, I wasn't looking for another tractor, went to look and try to get the deck and wheels, wound up with the rest.....

See post 146, this is the text to the pics, felt lucky to get the pics on there, did not want to mess around too long, darn gremlins!

I bought the parts for the exhaust at a plumbing supply store, the brace is made of 1" angle that is 1/8" thick, ought to be plently strong. I welded the brace straight to the 1" black iron pipe, the large fitting on there between the exhaust port and the angle is called a coupler, it allows the exhaust to be removed without untreading the connections. It is just roughed in for now, need to pull it apart and clean up the welds and toss some paint on it. I had looked at other's threads about exhaust and decided this 149 was going to be used like a tractor, so it should look the part, and I decided to put a stack on it. I read concerns about breaking off the exhaust port on the engine if the stack was braced well, this is how I decided to do it, there is more than one way to skin a cat!

Heah there Jeff! Looks great! your doing an awesome job on your resto-mod! I think the red looks great! Saw in a earlier post you got some tires from Morrow,I got a set of deestone ags for my 1200 to go all around it.I haven't got much done on it this summer, the restore money kinda dried up a few months back, but still been getting some done on mine. Was wondering you used vansickle paint did you have any trouble with it interacting with the self etching primer? Or any of the rustoluem primers? I'm gonna use vansickle on mine. Looks great!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
