Nice score on the O! A bit dirty but worth the save! I have to say i like the paint job but not the lights. Also liking the INTERNATIONAL script emblem, from an IH semi, on the hood too

Default The lights...

....are gone.

Strangely...they ARE expensive German Hella driving lights. I guess that's so the PO didn't overdrive his lights with that brutishly powerful 7HP Kohler!

The paint job is pretty cool. I didn't know that script came from a truck... sadly there's only one of them (not present on the other side). The PO was telling me how rare those are to find on cubs, and I'm thinking..."yeah, especially since they were never shipped with them!"

Default Got some time today....

Got some time to clean the O up a bit...there's actually a tractor under all the moss and grease.

Still has the orig. carb and oil bath cleaner, and everything seems to be there. It had one of those "anti-foul" spark plug extensions, so I'm sure it's well worn, but it should be an interesting project.

I found some tires I bought for my lawn cart that although not correct, at least were round, so I could roll the thing around! I'll replace them with something more suitable eventually.

Good updates! I hate it when the PO paints over the yellow and the red paint flakes off!

I think they just primed it preparing for a proper yellow paint job!!

We are just not giving the PO enough good credit.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
