Default cub cadet 147 & 149

Today, we were working on the 128 and I got a call about a 147 and 149. We went down and took a look at them and I said how much? So all we have to do is move a pile of dirt for him. The 149 has hydraulic lift, head lights, and mower deck. The 147 has head lights, mower deck, wheel wights, chains, snowplow, and spare engine. I will have pics of them soon.

Thats like candy to my eyes! Awesome deal you got there and to make it better 2 very cool models to own too.

I wonder if you are having key switch problems or if the no spark and no turning over are unrelated? The switch on my 147 wont put power to the coil if the switch is turned all the way in cranking mode. I have to just barely turn the key until the motor starts cranking. It was kind of funny at first. I would sit there cranking and cranking it and then let off and it would start. Then next time I would do the same thing. Then I realized what was going on, I would just bump the starter and let off to start it. Sometimes bumping it few different times. Until I tried turning the key slowly and there is a spot when I still have coil juice and starter at the same time. Anyways I would check to see if you getting power to the solenoid at the little power wire and then if not check the pedal safety switch.

Must be you swapped on a faulty front tire on the 147?

Congrats on your cubs!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
