Default Picked up a 1450 today

Found a 1450 on craiglist and picked it up today. It is not a peach, but it runs like a top. Sorry, no pictures as wife is away with the camera for a couple of weeks. That makes it easier to haul these things home. Anyway, the 1450 has rear lift, IH wheel weights, nice 44" deck that works good, 54" front blade, 10" Brinly plow and a Brinly cultivator. Also have the sleeve hitch, new carb kit, and new rear diff cover gasket. Now for the bad, it has sat out for a while, needs front tires, choke cable is broke, screws broke off on the carb for holding on the aircleaner and the iso mounts are bad. Suprising after seeing it, how good it run and it is really pretty tight. Probably going to replace the iso mounts and fix a few small things and then sell the tractor/mower/front blade. I will keep the plow, cultivator, rear hitch, wheel weights and brinly hitch. It will make a good solid mower tractor, but I don't really have room to keep another one. Who know, once I get it fixed up a little, I may decide to keep it, that is what has happened with the other 20 of them that I have. I will try to post pictures when my wife gets back in a couple of weeks.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
