Was sweet to pull into the driveway when I got home from work to see the 71 sitting there

Mooner: I picked up a C195 Kodak EasyShare camera, was only $90 too!! Camera I bought last year was 10mp and twice the price

drhntrrmw: Who did the painting, I did of course That is my favorite part of the project, especially since 80% of it is prep work. I still need to repaint right fender and do the hood again someday, both have some "orange peel" going on, not bad, but it's not perfect like I'd like it to be. Considering it was all done with spray can, I'm happy with it. When I get a real shop someday I'll tear this thing apart again and "restore" it.

Max, thanks bud, I'll work on getting ya a pic with the sun, will have to do that early in the morning

Thanks Sminkey, I think it would look great as my desktop picture. If I ever get another Cub I want one just like yours!!! It really is beautiful, honest.

Thanks Max!! That makes me feel quite proud, the kinda of uplifting a soul needs sometimes

Nice Sam, I'd be -8 years old if I went back that far. I can't imagine what it'll look like with the loader refurbed on it too. That's my next project, hopefully in the next month I can get it installed, mega burned out right now and will start that in a few days.

Here's a couple pics of the dash before and after and of the tractor dismantled...

Thanks samspops! Will be nice to get an air compressor and spray gun down the road though.

Put the rear Grote on tonight. Only place I saw feasible was under the seat on the left side so there is minimal wire showing. Worked out nicely and another super weather day here today

Default Freak'n Sweetness!!!

Hey Jude! Don't get on this site much anymore but I HAVE to add my two cents worth about your resto. A+ job catdaddy! Attention to detail and the correctness always catches my eye on any restoration. No vertical exhaust for one example. The duals,inside/outside weights and weight box is the bomb! I want to know, how is that loader resto coming along? Here is a few pics of the only duallies I have ever owned but no fresh color like yours!

Nice job Jude. Looks awesome. You mean you really used a rattle can for that paint? You must have laid it on just to the point of running
Another question, you did the paint with the engine and drive train in?
How did you get it all cleaned up for paint? Man you're good

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
