3pt hitch removal
I am trying to remove the 3pt hitch from my 1450 so that I can get it put in my 1250. I have taken the fenders and back wheels off, lift bar taken off. Now comes the part that is troubling me, what is the easiest way to get the lift lever shaft out? I sprayed the heck out of it with PB Blaster, then used a hammer to beat the shaft to the frame, can I use a pipe wrench to try to twist it out? How does everyone else get these out?

If you are referring to the 5/8" shaft that holds the cast rockshaft on up at the top between the frame rails, I bought a 2' length of 1/2" bar and used that and a small sledge hammer to pound out the shaft. When you put the bar into your 1250 use a healthy does of anti-seize on it.

One thing to remember
Remember that when you bang on a steel shaft the end will get a lot bigger than the original shaft was. Ask me how I know this is true? (rebuilding a top loader tranny). If you have to you can cut the shaft at one end and then pull the cast piece out and then have a better shot at it to heat and push the shaft out.
