Hi fellow cub cadet owners. I bought a 102 several years ago with intentions of restoring it, but now I'm thinking about selling it. Its a neat old tractor with a mower deck, rubber seat, and a rear pto shaft out the back and it even has the IH dealership decal that sold it new on the rear fender. what is unique about the decal is their phone number consisted of two letters and three numbers. When I look at this it reminds me of a simpler place in time,Amen.Right! Oh well, if someone has an idea of what this may be valued at please reply. Thanks.

Which is a worthless option, but some reason they comand more money. Personally I wouldn't pay a dime extra for a rear PTO. Condition, and how bad you want it will determin the price. Without seeing pictures, $200-400 tops, unless it's been properly restored.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
