I am sure I have an extra one, I have my K321 at the machine shop at the moment and believe I neglected to remove it. I had a cracked K301 that I took apart today to use parts (crank) for the 321. I know for sure the 301 had one because I removed it during the tear down. Let me check with the machine shop tomorrow to see for sure the 321 still has one on it. I am sure it does, but just want to be sure. If that is the case, I can send you the extra one for free if you'll pay for the shipping, should be cheap through USPS flat rate envelope! And as mentioned above, that hole is for a mechanical fuel pump that was not used on the cubs. You should have a gasket for it in your overhaul gasket kit. Got to help my fellow Missourian out with a 149 to boot!

Am I bad?
I hate to admit to this, but this hole is on the opposite side of the crankcase as the fuel pump hole. Its about that size though.
I'll attach a picture of it tomorrow. My son acquired this block for me after my original had some severe damage. I didn't pay attention to that hole until I had it reassembled. Likewise, I thought it was the fuel pump hole, but after looking again its on the other side of the block. I am beginning to wonder if this engine was used for something other than a CCadet. Photo tomorrow. Dave
