Nice tires for your 73. My 982 has nanco's and I haven't had a problem at all. Those will look nice once they're mounted. Can't wait for the pics.

You can get two of these (notice this is the price for a pair of tires) for what most places want for one Carlisle tru power! If you don't like these, here are a couple more choices they offer:

http://www.greaterclevelandtire.com/...rencher/Detail $117/pair

and these:

http://www.greaterclevelandtire.com/...uro-Lug/Detail $98/pair

all of them roughly half price, most less than 1/2 price, of the carlisle, sure some may say the carlisles are a better tire, but I doubt they the carlisle will outlast 2 sets of any of these tires!
Them tire prices are nice but how can they get away selling that cheap??
Shipping is not that bad either. I just bought a set of the 23x10.5x12 duro tires. Will find out in a few weeks how good they are.

For the first link, I checked and shipping would be $25 to my area.

I still wonder if perhaps some of the asian tire manufacturers cut corners on the rubber compounds used. I had a pair of Nanco tires on the front of a 128 I used to own, and the tractor had always been stored inside, the tires even had the quills on them yet, but they were more weathered than the 30-year-old lug tires on the back of the tractor.

I have several sets of tires from them and have yet to be disappointed. They are close enough for me that I go pick them up and save on the shipping. I wait till I get enough guys who want tires and we all split the gas price and I go pick them up. The Deestone's on my 1282 don't seem to be any narrower, they aren't as flat as the Carlilse's. The tire's made today will never last like the old gum dipped tire's. Almost every tire manufacture use's the same compound. They are highly regulated by Gov. You can't buy good tire's anymore I don't care how much you spend. Case in point, I bought Mickey Thompson Baja radials for my truck, I spent countless hours reading feedback on these tire's. Had trouble finding any bad comments about them. Well I have less than 10,000 miles on them and 1 has been replaced because the tire split the whole way around the center of the tread. The rest are dry rotted all the way around the tire next to the rim. They are 2 years old and junk. My BFG's that I had on there before are sitting outside uncovered and don't show any dry rot at all they are at least 10 years old. Go buy new BFG they will dry rot with in 2 years. It's the nature of the beast. No one make's a good tire anywhere. So buy them cheap and use them for as long as you can and throw them away when their rotted out, because you won't wear them out. Just my opinion.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
