Could you possibly flip the sg around and hook it to the hydro pump pulley?

Plus the electric pto puts a such a load on the charging system, that it has to be in tip top shape not to have problems from what I read. I am not even sure if a s/g puts out enough to run everything.

No, the pulley is way too small...the starter/generator wouldn't be able to turn the engine over.

Okay,
Lucas,That wont work without the proper brackets and pulley. Here's what a WH has on it. You can't see the pulley but it bolts to the flywheel. You would not need the cover being it will be on a cub.It has holes for a larger pulley on the flywheel like the first picture .They did away with the large pulley when they went to a ring gear, starter combo on the flywheel like the second one. Not sure about the amps a clutch draws. I think it is doable.

Idk why you would want to ruin the originality of the tractor? I don't like how hard electric ptos hit, Especially on the snowblowers. But that's my opinion I guess. I would just properly rebuild the orginal manual clutch

The orginal/manual PTO clutch is easier on the attachment and belt(s) that the PTO is running when you engage the PTO. A electric PTO is off or on....no easy starting the attachment. The battery and electrical system needs to be in top shape as someone else stated. A rebuild kit for a manual clutch is cheaper than buying a new electric clutch. They are easy to rebuild. Not sure...I think the end of crankshaft needs to be drilled and tap for electric clutch. There is a bolt in the end of crankshaft that has an electric clutch. You may have problems with the belt alignment with going to a electric clutch. The end of crank may or may not be long enough for electric clutch.
It's not the worth the aggervation changing to an electic clutch. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
