Thanks a bunch Kevin!! Your tractors are Awesome I absolutely LOVE my 71, didn't realize at the time of purchase what a sweet tractor it is. I fell in love with Cubs cause I saw an Original with fenders and said . I was fortunate enough to find one a week after I saw it online which led to the 71 purchase as I caught the fever! I got the 71 for $400 and it came with mower and the cc36 thrower that is on it now. The thrower was in bad shape and I impressed myself(which is hard to do) with how it turned out, I call it refurbished cause if I was to "restore" it, I probably wouldn't use it:biggrin2.gif:. The 71 has all the bells and whistles and she run's like a top too! I'll be mounting the Danco loader on it and I think(personally) that it'll be the sweetest looking cub around. Ok, sorry, had a good day snowboarding and I'm a little .

Thanks Allen! I have three more rollers/basket case Originals coming soon, one is paid for just have to go get it. Georg Eisenberger from Germany that is a member on this forum is needing parts for his "O" and going to try to help him with some parts. His "O" was purchased last year in LaPorte,IN at the Red Power Round Up Show...but was in very sad condition.

Got another good dumping here in the Lower Hudson Valley last night. Temps just under freezing made for some heavy, wet snow. I plowed every 3 or 4 inches so that I would be able to move it ok. It was about 10" total at my place.

Very nice pics Steve!! I woke up to all the snow coming off the barn/shop roof, was a load of extremely heavy snow/ice and took me about an hour:biggrin2.gif: to clean up the mess, touched up the driveway some in preperation for the next snow, which I don't see in the forecast. Just my luck, I'm going to pick up another Original with creeper next wednesday and It'll probably dump as I've got a 13 hour round trip to get it

Could really use a Danco RD1000 loader to move some of these piles!!!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. In 1961 didn't IH plan on selling only 500 Originals, mainly for industrial use? Amazing what these little 7 hp tractors can do! Pics tells all dude!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
