Default cub 73 info

Hello, I am probally picking up a cub 73 and wanted to know a few things. What fenders work with it? will the spring assist work with this tractor? Also, If I wanted to retrofit a creeper is this a straight forward swap?

You need 70/100, 71, 72, 73 fenders. The NF spring assist will fit. The creeper is pretty straightforward. You just have to split the tractor and shorten the driveshaft. You may as well go through the clutch while you're in there.

thanks matt, the clutch on this machine is actually new. it has no fenders or spring assist. I am going to buy it beause it has a rebuilt motor, steering, clutch and is in very good condition. I just want to add some goodies to it

Jason,
The only thing a creeper is for in a gear drive is blowing snow or tilling. If your not doing any of the after mentioned, I would skip it.
Unless it becomes a trailer Queen loaded with options, but dirt, it's a bad thing for it....

Default this is it

I had the owner send me a pic of it. This is what he had. It needs a bath and some touch up. It has a 38" deck and headlights. Fresh engine rebuild 30 over and a redone clutch. He is a small engine repair guy and has went over the whole machine. It needs some cosmetics but mechanically it's all there.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
