Anyone know of a source to have dealer stickers made ? I know it will be impossible to get 50 year old stickers off.

Use a hair dryer on it's highest setting 6" or so from the decal. It'll come off. If any adhesive remains, use some Goo-Gone Adhesive Remover and let it soak in. Remove residue with a rag. Then use some rubbing alcohol to prep the surface and remove any remaining adhesive remover which is oily.

Additionally, if you can get it off without destroying it, you can buy vinyl printer paper that is for making stickers. Scan the removed sticker, print your scan and apply. You could also try taking a photo of the sticker before removal and print that. |

Well the heat didnt work. Didnt even start to come up. Waiting on a response from Maplehunters Texas. I didnt know there was one in Texas and one in Indiana. I may have to tape them off and paint if I cant get the right ones or just bite the bullet and get the ones they have. The ones they show do not have the bold black PARTS AND SERVICE line available. Probably shouldnt be so picky but this is a one owner GT with the purchase receipt and the old timer passed away. I bought it from his daughter who went to Indiana to pick it up with her dad on 11/1/1973 and she came by to look at it all tore down. She patted the hood and said "im glad it came to a good home".

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
