I will try to keep this short. I pulled the engine and pulled off the flywheel. A magnet had come loose in the flywheel and was attached to the stator. My "sidekick" said if one magnet was loose, we should probably take out the other magnets also. I put the fly wheel on my grill and heated it slowly for about 5 hours. The other magnets came loose and took them out. Cleaned the inside of the flywheel and cleaned the magnets. Used high temp epoxy to remount the magnets. Just re-installed the engine this morning and it is working fine.

Did you get the magnets mounted correctly. It seems like when I did one a few years ago, the magnets had to be positioned with the poles mounted in the right direction. I don't remember how it was supposed to be. It might no perform like it is supposed to, low output current. Good Luck.
