Default 2182 hydro oil leak
have discovered a hydraulic oil leak on the front of the pump motor unit that supplies oi pressure to the power steering and lift. the a nipple is screw in the pump housing and a steel line is connected to the nipple -- oil is leaking where the line is fastened to the nipple. look like this line may not be available from the cadet folks. if anyone has had any experience replacing this line and fitting would like to hear from you. am considering using a local made hydraulic hose to replace this line and would appreciate you experience if you have successfully repaired a hydraulic oil leak as described on a 2182 cub cadet

I found a replacement steel line for My 2182. I think I actually bought it from MTD/Cub this past winter. In my case, put a little threading on the power steering pump and then install a bit on the transmission, and then tighten both fittings. That's what Member Soluna told me to do. My local Cub mechanic told me to put it on the power steering pump first, then the transmission, but it was still leaking at the transmission when I did it that way.

have anew replacement line on the way. i let my leaks get to the disaster level before tacking action. fix the big one and then try to dry up the rest as i find them.

Leaks I try to fix right away. I am a bit anal on that. I hate a leaking anything on a tractor it just drives me nuts.
