Yes the pump seems to be working, the engine will skip a little, the rpms will drop and then it shuts off like I hit the fuel shutoff. I'm definitely leaning towards a fuel delivery issue. The machine has 630 hours and I'm hopeful it's something small.

First thing I'd do is get that semi truck exhaust pipe off of it, otherwise you will be buying an exhaust manifold, because it broke, if it has not already happened.
On a good note at least that can be purchased, unlike Tinnitus that there is no cure for, or inhaling diesel particulate.

I got rid of that ridiculous thing this morning, unfortunately all I had laying around in the barn was a muffler from our 8n field decoration hahaha. On a better note, it ran so much better with the muffler installed, it finally did die after it stumbled several times. I decided to pull the shutoff and check the screen, it was completely plugged so I removed it and reinstalled as a test, it hasn't had a single hiccup with me pushing it's guts out. So I will be cleaning the tank and changing the filters and start running treated fuel

I will run an algae prevention treated fuel. I run anti gel in my pick up and will run it in the cub when the weather turns cold. So far it's running pretty good, I have figured out it will need a starter as it has one start in it when the engine is warm.

Happy to say it's running good, but I have to find a new exhaust, preferably factory as my homemade replacement isn't cutting it.

I appreciate the link, it's just outside of my budget at the moment. I'd definitely settle for a good used one if possible.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
