Default Available options for Cub Original

Is there a list or link someplace on this site for options that were available for CC Originals?

I know very little about originals, even though I just bought a few of them.

While poking around the web I found this picture. I'm wondering what that metal tank towards the upper part of grill would of been for? Also something else in this picture grabbed my attention.

There were so many options that were available for the O's that it would be challenging to list them all, especially the ones from vendors other than IH, from log splitters, to table saws, to generators, to front brooms, to front end or side mowers, etc. They were kind of the Model T's of garden tractors.

See chapter 6: "Special duty and allied equipment section" in Oscar Wills 50 Years of Cub Cadet book.
7 pages with pictures of all kinds of attachments for these little tractors, the Original plus the rest of the lineup.

See the classifies section of this site.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
