Thanks Sam, I got the manual pdf through the email. It looks like my firewall was blocking the download for some reason. I did come across this pdf during the search for the manual, it might be useful to the forum users to answer the never ending question "What Belt do I use for......" Maybe it can be posted in the technical info section of the forum.

Did you change the mule drive AND the hanging frame? or are you trying to hang the 54" deck from the 60" hanger frame and or mule drive?
I have both a 54 and a 60" for my 2182- I have to change everything to swap them over
I dont know if it means anything but in the parts catalog the 324 -54" mower uses mule drive with front hanger->703-2064 and the 374 60" mower uses the 385 mule which has a front hanger->703-0096 I admittedly dont know what the difference is but if you are trying to use the 60" mule drive and/or hanger on the 54" deck that might be the issue.
