Hello everyone. I took the head off to check for a blown head gasket. Gasket didn't appear to be blown but a trail of burned oil came from the piston at a point near the exhaust valve and over to the valve. It looks like it has been recently rebored 010 over. The cylinder shows no trace of honing marks. Is it possible to install the rings incorrectly or could the oil be coming from the exhaust valve? Thanks and have a great day.

Recent bore? No cross hatch? I'm afraid it could have been just a bad quickie refresh by previous owner... probably in attempt to spend low and sell high.
Looks like a do over to me....properly this time. You could start with mic on the cylinder and see where you are at for starters. Then there's crank and valve specs consider while you are at it.

Anything is possible!!
it could have a broken oil control ring, standard rings on a oversize bore. And many things too numerous to list. As you get deeper into the disassembly, more answers will come forth.

Start by checking the level of your oil and see if it is beyond full. The head gasket may still be the issue, too. The cheaper gaskets do not seal off the layers, allowing oil to blow through the seal and out. Also, the torque of the head bolts may not have been to specs or may not have been in the correct order. If you already have the head off, did you check to see if it was warped or planed correctly? Several things to check out.
