Default 1863 Won't Start: "Disengage PTO Light" On

I recently reinstalled the motor after pulling it to replace both crank seals and to clean it up a bit. Upon initial start I was intermittently getting the "Disengage PTO Light" but could get it to crank but not start. I started to check the basics and realized I didn't open the fuel shutoffs. But now I can't even get it to crank. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should troubleshoot first? Prior to removing the engine it ran fine.

I would start with the electrical on your PTO circuit . More than likely
you have a safety switch issue. Either in the brake, the seat or the PTO.
Start with the PTO. Take a good look at the wiring diagram and trace
that circuit. No need to take your engine out.

Additional info; I when toggling the PTO it engages and disengages as it should. When attempting to start I do get a click at the starter.

I am kinda confused. If it won't start how does the PTO engage and
disengage as it should?

Totally guessing here but start by taking the PTO switch out and
make sure all the contacts and the switch work. Do you have a
multimeter. Continuity checks for your switches and safeties.

I can hear the PTO clutch magnet engage and disengage when I turn the switch on and off. I will check continuity at the switch though.

SOLVED: Battery voltage had dropped. Left it on a trickle charger overnight and it fired right up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
