SW Ohio w/ beat-up 2160
I flip mowers for extra income. Two years ago, a friend of mine offered me his too-long-in-the-barn AGS 2160, which I politely declined, since it appeared to have too many problems and, more importantly, too many missing pieces. Well, that same friend has had his cancer come back, and contacted me saying "I'll take fifty dollars for that Cub Cadet." Seems he's squaring a few things around the homestead, just in case.
So it's mine now, and I was pretty surprised when it fired right up with very little coaxing after god-knows-how-many years. And now I've grown a bit obsessed with this little tractor. Not the first time it's happened. I was in the Wheel Horse world, so I know this illness. I'm here mostly because I think you folks can help me find the parts I need to make this thing whole. Okay, I'm also here to look at pics of your cool tractors.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
