I see a 3000 series machine with a snowblower and deck in that first pic.

If it were On the North side of Route 34 I Might have been Interested Because the Late Harold Schramm (circled In red) lived North of route 34 In that area He was Head of the engineering department for IH Cub Cadet He died 21 years ago.

The Cub Serial Number 411 is Pictured Below. I was there the day he picked it up (before the restore) from the Late Mr Stevenson (IH Cub Test Engineer), who was My Neighbor where I grew up. I just happened to be visiting my Parents at the time. Boy was it In rough shape. Mr Stevenson had kept it at a 10-acre farm-ett that he and his wife had inherited from his In-laws in Elk Grove Village, IL. Their tenant's kids had taken it apart. And given parts away. But every part was recovered. and You see the final restore

Having the Kohler Magnum in My 1541 re-built right now. Plus I am out of storage space for anymore tractors

Great history, you should go to the sale and see what they are selling for, just to be curious...

The problem is, if I went, I would end up with something( no self control when it come to Garden tractors) that I really have no room for. Added the 1541 back In February, and that is even pushing it, I have a 37.5-foot x 37-foot 2-story barn. I need to build another small shed for attachments to really make room for the 1541. Because I Like to still have an Indoor work area in the Barn, I won't completely pack it full of tractors.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
