I tried to fit the good side of the governor shaft back in the block to check the fit before i got another shaft and gear but it wasn't even snug.I said heck with it and went and got a 3/8"x 1/2" inch shouldered bolt ,3/8 on threaded part,cut it so id have 11/32" for gear to ride on,got the gear to fit the 1/2 inch part of the bolt.put red lock tite on threaded part,put a half size nut,full size nut hits on intake valve spring,tightened up the nut then drilled thru the boss then thru the bolt then thru boss on other side and tapped in a 3/32 tension pin with lock tite.had about 2 hours run time and seems ok ,governor works.id still like to find another block.It says to use a delco remy 1118987 voltage regulator cant find a name on the one but has L,bat,and L. the L didnt have any wires on it. i was just checking here to see what ya'll use instead.the starter gen is a delco remy# 1101996 and needs brushes.Thanks for any info.
