490A3769-7534-4FF6-92E4-8CB2C102C690.jpg Here is the dash looks like it had no choke. I assume this is the seat it left the factory with as it does not have factory Drain hole. Someone did punch three holes in it with a nail or punch to drain. |

Must been a pull start as the choke was on the motor, as for the axles, the early ones were thinner in thickness then they made them thicker after there were issues of them breaking.

I appreciate every ones help with this. I will post some more pictures with questions as I go along. I am going to pull what parts I need from my 4 digit cub that was in the restoration que. I will then try and track down parts later to finish it. It has the correct rear rims and a Motor. I will need to find all the pull start stuff to go on the motor as the 4 digit is set up as an electric start. I should have my new compressor installed this week which will allow me to start sand blasting. I have been using wire wheels and such for too long and it was time to upgrade some things.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
