Thanks for the nice comment, but,
I only get to bow for following directions, that pretty gloss comes from following the steps the NAPA paint guru shared with me. I get that gloss EVERY time I do three things: 1) I get the reducer from NAPA,, (I would have to go look up the name) 2) I gotta use hardener 3) I gotta mix the paint in one of those calibrated cups. The hardest part is mixing the paint/reducer/hardener,,then,,, I have to wait at least 30 minutes. That 30 minutes seems like hours when you have everything ready to go,,, Also, you gotta have enough mixed to complete all the coats,, or the 30 minute wait starts over,, and, you gotta hope the next batch is ready to go, before the last coat gets too hard. Oh, yea,, LOTS of ventilation,, you can not breathe ANY of that hardener,, I think the hardener is similar to Super Glue,, ![]() that stuff is hard on your lungs,,, ![]() |

I’m assuming that’s how long the hardener takes to activate?

I know without the 30 minute wait the paint acts exactly like paint without hardener.
So, some sort of activation is occuring. The same day hardness that occurs with hardener enriched enamel paint is almost unbelievable. And,, the long term quality of the paint is also amazing. |

It is the induction period where the paint works/interacts with the hardener.
Most all 2k paints have an induction period. Majic Paint is not a 2 part paint, but the hardener is an enhancement and usually needs a 30 minute induction period with occasional stirring or shaking in the gun. Just like using thinner, use the slow, medium or fast thinner depending on the air temp you are painting in. It's all in the "P" sheets ( instructions) from the paint maker. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
