Front wheel refresh made it look significantly better. Once my hood decals from vintage reproductions show up tomorrow, this should be a nice looking machine.

I painted the liftbar from Aaron today, and plan on putting it on tonight. My brinly adapter from Jeff should show up tomorrow, so we're getting really close.

It was a good day for the 782 yesterday.

Got the hood decals in from Vintage Reproductions (mint). Had to raise them slightly to cover where the flag decals were before. I'm assuming this has been repainted, but the previous group must have sandblasted down to bare metal as some paint came off in the process of removing the flag decals that were on it.

I also picked up some 1/2-8" carriage bolts to mount the wheel weights I acquired Sunday and cleaned up/primed/painted throughout the week. I find the 8" ones allow you to easily get a second set on if needed.

I also finished the sleeve hitch install, and added the obligatory seat sticker. I was tempted to use a Reagan-Bush 84 one (period correct), but only had one of those.

IF USPS gets their head out of their rear, I'll have the Parts by Jeff Brinly adapter soon and can try out some tillage.

The 782 had a good time at RPRU 2022 (pictured alongside my brother's Cub). I also had a chance to start painting the Brinly adapter and lift straps today, and hope to try some tillage tomorrow or sometime this week.

Tried out the Brinly cultivator and Simplicity moldbord plow with the 782 tonight. Way too wet, but pulled good.

Need a few shorter 1/2" clevis pins, but the Parts by Jeff adapter turned out great and works well.

Adding pictures. Minus the seat spring and maybe adding a spin on filter, I think this one is pretty much done.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
