Me too. I make a lotta mistakes twice sometimes, but that is not one of them. I think they call it "learning the hard way".

Yipee. Finished getting things put back on tractor yesterday. Turned
the key and off she went. Amazing how much better things start with compression. Let it run at fast idle for about 40 minutes and shut it down. Will re torque head today and work on the neutral position for the hydro. Even after messing with the brake all this time I still can't seem to get it right. That seems to me to make it hard to adjust the hydro neutral. Oh well, right now I am pretty excited little kid to have this running and sounding great. Nobody I know would care about the thrill of turning the key for the first time on a big project. If you were here I would buy you a beer since you do. Thanks for following along on this winters work and the help. Ken DSCN2083.jpg DSCN2087.jpg |

thanks fellas. Put fenders and hood back on yesterday and took er for a run
to the mail box. No mail. Just to sure though when I got back to the shop and drove back out and checked the mail again. A little of tweaking to do on the carb but she ran fantastic. Ken |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
