Ambush is the expert here on hydros so maybe he'll weigh in.
I'm somewhat familiar with them. The hydro won't work if the charge pump cover is reversed from the factory orientation, the charge pump cover o ring is pinched or missing, or the relief valves are faulty, the hydro is otherwise damaged internally from towing, lack of sufficient hydraulic fluid (low level, suction leak, plugged filter) or any of a couple other reasons. charge pump output should be about 600 psi. If it's only 50 psi, maybe that's the issue?

Probably not an "expert", but a professional having spent twenty eights years repairing/rebuilding hydraulic pumps and motors for a living.
The Sundstrand U15 is a very simple power transmission. Think of it as a bicycle. Two sprockets and a chain, the oil being the chain in the hydraulic version. Maybe we can go through the process on this thread and hopefully, you get your unit fixed and we can all learn something. You'd have to be willing take the trans apart one more time, if it gets that far. Although the first and obvious is to check for oil to the charge pump. That is; there is sufficient oil and the tube has no obstructions. Otherwise, if you provide pics, we can go through the unit step by step. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
