Help identifying headlight connector
Headlights stopped working on the 169 tonight and I identified the culprit as a broken wire. **I have no knowledge of electrical**. That being said, do I need to purchase a new connector or harness? I circled in red where the two connect...err were joined as one until today lol. Appears to connect to the bottom of the ammeter.

NO, you don't have to buy a Wiring Harness, only if you want to.
It can be easily repaired, by cutting out the bad wire segment and install (crimp) a fully insulated terminal(s). See image.

The fuse holders usually come with a short piece of wire as part of the assl'y
Simply cut the wire in the center and then splice both ends into the harness in place of the damaged one. All you will need are two butt connectors to install it into the harness. Look for one of these at any auto parts store. They probably already have a 10 amp fuse installed or you can use your existing fuse.

There should be a Factory installed inline fuse on the 149 & 169.
