Default Quietline Engine Swap - 1200 into a 1000?

Its been a while for me to start in on a "big" cub job, but I always remember how to start: Contact the experts here first!

So I got a ''parts" Quietline 1200 and the engine is good. I got a nice Quietline 1000 with a smokey, oil leaking warn engine but chassis and running gear very good.

Will the engine out of the 1200 go into the 1000 ok? It all looks good to me, but its best to consult with the experts before starting.

I had the engine out and back in on another of my Quietline 1000's 2 years ago so I know enough to be dangerous at this swap. You all helped me on that one, too.

Lemme know what you recommend and also what else you think I should do while the engine is out like steering box rehab, front axle bolt, engine cradle
weld, etc.!

Thanks!

Easy peasy swap
Pull one and install the other
Look at the rest of the stuff you just mentioned while you are at it.
Waa Laa! You now have 12 HP 1000
That's the only difference between the two other than the prefix to the serial number I think.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
