Default Diesel Side Panels
I was wondering about this.
I have a 1772 super diesel and the side panels have a vent in them.
My 1512 didn't come with side panels and I would like to put some on it. Anyone ever cut one to fit around the muffler out the side? Every garden tractor diesel I have seen does not have the vent in the panel. Why not??

My 782D does not have the slots in the lower part of the side panels. The 1512 I used to have did, and also had an extra baffle in front of the battery. It didn't cool any better than my 782D. I really don't think they help all that much. The key is having a clean radiator, grass screen, insulation on the upper hose, and good thermostat.

The slots don't concern me too much.
I need to notch the panel out for the muffler to come through. Any ideas on what tool to use to do a good job?
