Default Cub Cadet Original transmission
I just changed my Original's transmission oil, and now some is leaking out the hole on the axle housing that has brakes. What is it and how do I stop it?

Sounds like rear axle seals need replacing.

there's a seal and an o ring in there. its usually the seal but the o ring will deteriorate over time

Click on the Tab at the top of the page that says..."Cub Cadet Parts & Service Lookup". Use "Cub Cadet" as the model for the Original. It will give you a complete parts breakdown and prices.

Thank you! I never would have thought cub cadet mtd would have diagrams but they do! I figure I'll go to ccspecialitys and buy 2 of what I need so the other side gets done too

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens.
