Cyclops v-twin issues...
Guess I was in a humorous mood when I suggested turning the tractor "right side up" to solve the oil leak problem...
Anyway...the best solution isn't always the easiest solution to fix a problem correctly, especially when you are not sure how to go about doing the fixin'... For those who enjoy learning about Cub Cadet tractors, the onlycubcadets.net site is one of the best for inexperienced tractor owners to learn how to do for themselves when things need repair. The experienced Cub owners (Roland Bedell and Sam Mac to name a few) are always on top of newbie Cub owners problems and offer practical solutions and repair techniques based on their wealth of experience with many models of Cub Cadet tractors! I have read many posts on this site regarding how to go about repairing older Cub Cadet tractors to make them function properly for years to come. Probably the best solution (and most fun in my opinion) is to fully restore a tractor by taking it completely apart, right down to the nuts and bolts to discover for yourself just how things work when reassembled. Then when something goes wrong, the fix is easy...and less intimidating to deal with... I have enjoyed this site for nearly 5 years...during the last 3, I have restored two 1641's and an 1864 thanks to the sharing of knowledge by the veteran members of this website!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens.
