Talking 2458445S Ignition Coil
As I was price checking for the mag/coil for my CH18. I found a great difference in prices, from 23 to 85$. That seemed like quite a widespread to me. I assume that Kohler does not produce this mag/coil and buys it from an aftermarket supplier and has its name an part number stamped on it. Therefore how do you make the correct decision on which one to purchase?

If it says Kohler on it, it was built to the exact Kohler spec. If it does not say Kohler on it, there a good chance it was not built to exact spec.

I will add stens/napa are reputable suppliers with a proven reputation.
I buy kohler where possible, but do not hesitate using aftermarket Stens or Napa if available at a cost savings.

Same here with Kohler, have not tried Stens. I have a Napa account so is use them quite often.
