Different types of hy-tran?
Hello, I have a ih 682
I just finished replacing the round cork gasket on hydro pump and rear plate gasket. I drained all the old fluid out. I'm ready to refill so I picked up two gallons of hy-tran ultracation from the ih dealer. My question is. I'm not the original owner so I dont know what the fluid was I drained out but it was thicker and smelled like gear oil. This is my first time buying hy-tran fluid it has a thinner feel compared to what came out. Did I buy the right stuff? Is there different types of hy-tran? The bottle says Hy-Tran ultracation transmission fluid. Supersedes Hy-Tran ultra. Thanks.
