Default What am I missing?

I order a part off eBay. The sale was $6.82 with free shipping. I see it is coming to me via UPS Ground. I am guessing the UPS charges are more than the part.

How can the seller afford to do this..??

Ups will hand it off to USPS likely.
They are working together to make a good system better.
lets face it,
the post PERSON stops at most all places 6 days a week.

To send a UPS truck to BFE with a small widget costs money, so all routes are co mingled with ups handing off packages to post offices for final deliveries.

I see it all the time here, and Amazon is utilizing usps 7 days a week in my area.
My carrier delivers their usual route then sometimes comes around again with Amazon packages.

UPS delivered the part this afternoon. No split shipping, straight UPS.

Go figure.

interesting!
Prolly ebay gets a preferred rate, who knows, but usually free ship is postal.

I'm coming up on 600 ebay purchases, over the years.
I think the "black hole" in Allen park/Deeetroit had gotten a lot better, at least for me it has.
Glad all went well for you.

George:

I don't think the Black Hole will ever get better. They just keep tossing the packages back & forth now days.

Hell I don't doubt that one bit.
But they seem (for me at least) to be going in and coming out, in a day or less, -----and headed in the right direction.
That is a big improvement!!
Aw well,
The mail, weather, and politics ya can't change, just complain about.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
