I am converting my 129 to hydraulic lift. I found a killer deal on a transmission from a 127 with a ported hydro pump for $100 . I already purchased it, and am picking up this weekend. Now I’m wondering if it will fit right onto my 129? I was hoping to service it and just swap transmissions insteAd of taking the pump off. Also I got the ram, hydro lines and control valve. Looking for whatever mountaing brackets and hardware I need as well as the rear lift. Any direction is helpful. I hope I made a good purchase

I believe I have changed over all of my Wide Frame Hydro's to hydraulic lift, it's a fun and useful project.
Personally I prefer to only change the pump, doing this affords you the opportunity to replace the cork gasket helping to insure a leak free install. You will want to look carefully at the "new" pump, 127's NEVER came from the factory with a ported pump. (that's not to say that someone didn't put a ported pump into a 127 sometime in the past 40 years). The next question is, what did they use the ports for? That could be a whole different kettle of fish. Good luck with your change-over.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
