Need a larger Lift Handle Stop
Hello All,
I need a larger diameter Lift Handle Stop (Item 20 in the image) in order to keep my deck from cutting my grass too short. Maybe 1/2" diameter larger. I have the OEM unit that came on the tractor on now but even if I set it to the highest setting it's really still too low for my taste. I'm one that really likes to keep my grass pretty long since it's much healthier for the lawn to do so. Has anyone ever made a larger diameter Lift Handle Stop or is there one that is made that I could purchase? I'm not beyond making my own just thought that if there was one available I'd take advantage?!?!? Kenneth

I wonder if your rockshaft is a factory oops...My 782D had the arm on the outside welded on wrong, so the stop never touches the cam, and the geometry would be screwy for lifting front-mounted implements. I wonder if the spirol pin hole for the outer lift arm on yours wasn't drilled in the right orientation or something.

I just welded on a piece of steel to the "high" end of the cam to get another inch or so of cut height on my 149. I had the same issue with a 1650 I had. These weren't designed to cut as high as the newer ones you can buy these days.

I noticed I have to put the lift stop cam at a position that puts the lift bar midway between the top notch and the very next notch in order to keep from scalping or cutting too low on my yard. Guess I need to look at getting the 44a deck up as high as I can too.
