Default Roll bar on a 100

Anyody ever build a roll bar for their CC? I would like to build a combination roll bar, shade, and light bar for my model 100. I use it to mow and plan on using it to push snow (if we get any this winter).

Member Richard Christensen built a couple of Canopy's for his Cubs. His primary interest was the shade factor due to the fact he lives in Arizona. I suppose one could beef up the uprights to add rigidity for rollover protection.

In case you happen to stay glued to the seat?

Default White

Maybe you could also paint it white...might help with the heat a little more than a black one.

Here is a pic's of the IH Canopy that they offered for the WF Cubs. It would be difficult to find one of these.

is that the same ROPS that is mentioned in Ken Updike's CC book? I think it talks about it being on a 800 or something in there.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
