I just picked up this 1250 for $100. It is missing the muffler and PTO; however, I'm only going to use it for parts for my other QL tractors. I already have plans for the engine. It is going to repower my smoking 1250 until I rebuild the engine. I do love my Quietlines!

I love mine too I try to go start mine and run them around whenever I can if your like me your parts machines will quickly multiply. But once you have them you will be suprised how much you san scavenge off of them they seem like they are worth more than what they can be bought for. Very good buy on on the 1250

Yup, I was just out in my barn with my tractors. My 1000 has a leaking axle seal and the the shifter cup needs repaired. The project would have moved along faster if IH would have used bolts instead of big phillips head screws on the foot rests!

They make impact screwdriver sockets for 3/8 drive I'm sure cause I have a set. That's how I get them off.

Wack the head of the screw with a chisel the same size as the screw head, then they come off for me with a BFSD.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
