If you swap the decks you will need to change the center pulleys as well. Are the decks the same model? Same mules?

I have one set of V61s on my 782D, and I'll eventually buy more sets as I wear out front tires on my other tractors. I don't know why you think they're so expensive...I got 2 tires and 2 tubes shipped to me for a total of about $80 from tiresunlimited.com. They're no more expensive than USA-made ordinary turf tires. I heard a lot of horrible things about those Firestone 3-rib tires, so I wound up buying these instead, and they are wonderful. They don't leave marks in my grass, and I can steer great. I have yet to use them in the snow, but I've heard they work great for that too. I'll find out in a few months.

Those tires look good, I think I will have to get a set of them.
Got a deck question, I have deck from a 108 that has ID # 441U1112 on it. The deck on my 1000 is a 44A. I've not found a difference in the two decks. They appear to have the same deck shell, belt cover, drive pulley, etc. So what is the difference in them ? Thanks, Tony |

The serial number tag. That's the only difference. The 441/501 are the same deck as the 44A and 50A and they are interchangeable.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
