Might be a stupid question but you intrigued me and I had to go look. Is it possible for me to flip the double pulley on the deck?
You need to think about that question a little more..... If you flip the main pulley over, then the center spindle will turn at a different speed than the two outer 2.....

Doesn't matter what it came off of. Irrelevant. Just change the pulley on the deck. Cheaper than a new PTO. Unless you just want one.....

Flipping the pulley would make the situation even worse. You need a 756-3057 pulley and the belt should be Cub 954-3051A PTO BELT-60 INCH DECK B-SECT 97.5"

I use these guys for Cub parts. http://www.cubcadetpartsnmore.com/

Thank you Sam Mac for the info needed. I was able to get it on over the holiday weekend and mow the grass; amazing difference. The old pulley was shot and honestly I'm fairly sure it wasn't original either. There was not slot for a key and it was two pulleys tack welded together. It was definitely a 1:1 double pulley once I was able to get it out and inspect it. I knew there shouldnt have been any reason i couldnt cut 4" tall grass with it!

Luckily, I had some spare keyways I was able to shorten and make work for the new pulley. I also had to move the pulley on the mule drive. Since the bigger PTO was incorrect i had to make spacers to push the pulley with the release hook on It further to the left. It was chewing the belts up since they were so far out of alignment.

It took a while to get it in, as I ordered it from Cub Cadet Specialties. NOS from them was only a few dollars more than used from other places. However it got delivered to another person with my same full name 2 states away who also buys cub parts from them. He was able to text me after opening it up and noticing that it wasn't for him. It was kind of cool meeting another same named person!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
